Effect of losing on early maladaptive schemata of individual male athletes

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of losing on early maladaptive schemata of individual male athletes. The present study was a descriptive-analytical research method. The statistical population of this study was all male athletes in two age groups of adolescents and young people from individual (weightlifting, tack and taekwondo) who participated in the championship of Erzurum province and country in 2019. According to the statistics, the number of these people was estimated at 2,800 athletes. The statistical sample of this study, based on the sample Morgan table (1970), was 338 athletes. Comparison of sustained attention skills of deaf athletes and non athletes

In this research it is aimed to compare the attention skills of hearing-impaired children playing sports and who do not. In total, 233 hearing-impaired children living in the cities; Malatya, Elazığ, Gaziantep and Istanbul participated to the research. Happiness and responsibility are among the components on which students' mental health, performance and success depend. Therefore, the present study aimed to compare the effect of life skills education and acceptance and commitment on the happiness and responsibility of physical education students. A semiexperimental design was conducted (pre-test and post-test) with two experimental and one control group. 45 female physical education and sports teaching departments students in Kilis (Turkiye) with lower scores on the Oxford Argyle (1990) Happiness Questionnaire and the California Psychological Responsibility Scale (CPI-R), were se . . .lected by convenience sampling and randomly divided into two experimental groups (15 people in each group) and one control group (15 people). For the first group, life control education (8 sessions; week 2 one-hour session) and the second group, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (8 sessions; week 2 one-hour session) was applied and the control group did not receive any education. Prior and after the education, the subjects completed the Argyle (1990) Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and the California Psychological Responsibility Scale (CPI-R). Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the mean scores of students' happiness and responsibility in the acceptance and commitment group compared to the life skills education group and in the life skills education group compared to the control group in the post-test increased significantly (p < 0.05). Investigation of the effect of Life kinetic exercise on performance in dart athletes

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of life kinetic exercises on performance in darts athletes. A total of 40 volunteer women, aged between 12 and 14, residing in Kilis city center and playing darts, participated in the study, 20 of which were in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. Life kinetic exercise was applied to the experimental group for 8 weeks along with dart training. In the control group, only dart training was applied. The data were analyzed in the SPSS package program. Normality analysis of the data was done with the Shapiro-Wilk test. An EFL coursebook evaluation through the lens of preparatory school instructors

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the English File series as a coursebook material for university preparatory school students in an EFL context. The study gathered data through a triangulation of data collection procedures, comprising questionnaires and interviews with preparatory school instructors. Results revealed that the series was highly suitable for university students with the purpose of general English proficiency. The study also proposed some areas of improvement, such as the integration of contemporary topics, the delivery of grammar points and vocabulary exercises in more meaningful contexts, and the incl . . .usion of extra reading and writing materials to meet the academic needs of preparatory school students. While the series made a significant effort to promote intercultural competence and became highly successful in doing so, the instructors reported a few cultural biases and stereotypes that might necessitate revision. Determining the relationship between nursing students' alexithymia levels and submissive behavior and self-esteem

Aim: This study was conducted to examine the relationship between that nursing students’ alexithymia levels with submissive behavior and self-esteem. Methods: The population of the study consists of nursing students studying at Kilis 7 Aralık University. Its sample consists of 226 nursing students. The study was conducted between January - February 2021. Toronto Alexithymia Scale, Submissive Behaviors Scale and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used for data. The data were evaluated in the SPSS 24.0 statistics program. In addition to descriptive statistics, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U and correlation tests were used to evaluate th . . .e data obtained in the study. Ethics committee and institution permission was obtained in order to conduct the study. Results: Nursing students Toronto Alexithymia Scale total score average is 51.94 ± 9.97, Submissive Behaviors Scale total score average is 40.57 ± 9.90, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale total score average is found as 29.63 ± 4.18. Nursing students’ alexithymia levels with between submissive behavior was determined positive way a weak relationship (r = 0.369, p = 0.001). Students’ alexithymia levels with between Self-Esteem was found negative way a middle-level relationship (r = -0.461, p = 0.001). It was determined that 51.3 % of the Toronto Alexithymia Scale received > 52 points. Conclusion: Nursing students’ alexithymia level were determined that submissive behavior and self-esteem are middle. Academic Integration of Kilis 7 Aralık University’s International Students into the Higher Education System

Understanding international university students’ integration levels and problems contribute to filling a huge vacuum in the research on refugees, which frequently overlooks the experiences of specific groups. Similarly, higher education policies rarely pay attention to or include the perspectives of international students. As a result, by considering the experiences of K7AU’s international students -the majority of whom are refugees- the current study will shed light on the problems they face. This paper presents the findings of a research project (BAP Project: .22.001) intending to evaluate how effectively international students ha . . .ve integrated into Kilis 7 Aralık University (K7AU) and the Turkish higher education system. It also tries to determine the students’ challenges and offer solutions thereunto.Considering the scope of the Council of Higher Education’s internationalization mission and vision, the research aims to establish the academic integration levels of international students studying at K7AU and identify the obstacles they have encountered. A survey devised for this project is used to determine the academic integration levels of the students, and the data has been evaluated using the SPSS program. The study also intends to give various recommendations based on quantitative assessments and relevant findings.
